Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Tick AI - Tasks Tracker (“we”, “the app”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Tick AI - Tasks Tracker iOS app and this website. Tick AI - Tasks Tracker is operated by Artem Kurtiak, an individual based in Ukraine, who is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at contact@arktik.tech.

Information we collect

• Account. Your name and email address. You can create an account with an email address and password, or with Sign in with Apple or Google. If you choose a password we store only a salted hash of it — never the password itself. If you hide your email with Apple, we receive Apple’s private relay address instead.
• App data. Tasks, lists, notes, due dates, urgency, team memberships, and ticks you send or receive.
• Notifications. If you allow push notifications, a device token so we can send you alerts about ticks and tasks.
• Technical. Basic server logs needed to run the service (for example, timestamps of requests). We do not sell advertising data and we do not use third-party ad trackers or analytics SDKs.

How we use it

• To create and maintain your account
• To sync tasks, lists, and team ticks across devices
• To send password-reset codes and other transactional email
• To send push notifications you have opted into
• To provide support and keep the service secure

Why we are allowed to use it

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, these are our legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR:

• Performance of a contract. Running your account and syncing your tasks, lists, and ticks is what you signed up for.
• Consent. Push notifications, which you turn on yourself and can turn off at any time in iOS Settings.
• Legitimate interests. Keeping the service secure, preventing abuse, and responding to support requests.
• Legal obligation. Where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We use service providers that process data only to run Tick AI - Tasks Tracker:

• Apple and Google — sign-in, only if you use those buttons
• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Resend, and Brevo as a backup — transactional email such as password-reset codes, sent from contact@arktik.tech
• Expo / Apple Push Notification service — delivering notifications

People you add as friends or group members can see the tasks and profile details you share with them.

We may disclose information if required by law.

Where your data is processed

Our providers operate data centres outside Ukraine, including in the European Union and the United States, so your information may be transferred and stored there. Where data leaves the EEA or the UK, our providers rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard to protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and app data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account we remove your login and your app data — including tasks, lists, team connections, push tokens, and ticks you sent into other people’s inboxes — straight away, and it is not recoverable afterwards. Backups and routine server logs are cycled out within 30 days. We keep the minimum needed to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes where the law requires it.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can see and delete your data from inside the app. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
• Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
• Delete your data (Profile → Delete account, or ask us)
• Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it

Email contact@arktik.tech to exercise any of these and we will respond within 30 days. If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your local data protection authority — in the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office, and in the EEA it is the supervisory authority where you live.

If you live in the United States

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have never done so. Depending on your state — including California under the CCPA/CPRA — you may have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Use the same address above and we will honour the request.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your login and the app data associated with your account, including ticks you sent to others.

If you cannot open the app, email contact@arktik.tech from the address on your account and we will delete it.

Children

Tick AI - Tasks Tracker is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least 13 — or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, which is up to 16 in parts of the EEA — to use it. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete the account.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top changes when we do, and we will tell you in the app before a material change takes effect.
